DUTIES & ROLE
The Dean Student Welfare office of JNKVV has played a vital-role since its inception of the University for All-round Development of students, the support provided by the faculty and this office has created a positive and ambient atmosphere among the pupils.
The creation of facilities and the provision of opportunities have resulted in spectacular changes in the mind-set of youth. The pivotal role of changing attitudes of the students has been witnessed on many occasions.
The Dean Student Welfare is principally responsible for the overall development of students. Apart from academic activities, this is the place for students to discuss any problems related to their academic progress, scholarships, placement, career opportunities and overseas higher studies.
- To supervise the management of students hostels, messing arrangements and cafeterias along with basic amenities.
- To co-operate with the staff of Physical Education activities, National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS) and other allied activities.
- To deal, in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty concerned, with student indiscipline, excessive absenteeism and other student irregularities from point of view of maintenance of discipline etc.
- To supervise health programmes and medical facilities for students and University Staff.
- To make arrangements for Scholarships, stipends, employment through Campus Interviews and other such assistance as may be deemed necessary for the welfare of students.
- To be responsible to the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor in the exercise of powers and discharge of duties provided under the Act.
- To co-operate and assist the Employment Bureau in the matters of employment of the students who have completed courses in Vishwa Vidyalaya.
- To act as a bridge between students and Administration.
